Editorial Policies
South Asian Academic Publications has framed its editorial and publication policies based on the standards established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), and the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA).

South Asian Academic Publications is an electronic, peer-reviewed international research journal committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics. To provide high-quality scholarly content, we adhere to the following principles of publication ethics and malpractice prevention. Any article found to violate these ethical standards may be removed from publication at any stage, even after publication. All manuscripts are evaluated through a rigorous peer-review process.

Duties of Editors
Editors are responsible for ensuring a fair and double-blind peer-review process for submitted manuscripts. They must prevent conflicts of interest among authors, reviewers, and editorial staff. Editors shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts prior to publication. The Editor-in-Chief coordinates the editorial process and oversees final publication decisions.

Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively, based solely on academic merit, without regard to the authors’ ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, or political beliefs. Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and report any suspected plagiarism, copyright infringement, or ethical misconduct to the Editor-in-Chief. Reviewers who feel unqualified or unable to complete a timely review should notify the Editor-in-Chief and decline the review assignment.

Duties of Authors

Reporting Standards
Authors must present an accurate and objective account of their research and its significance. Sufficient detail and references should be provided to allow replication. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements are unethical and unacceptable.

Data Access and Retention
Authors may be asked to provide raw data for editorial review and should be prepared to make such data publicly available where feasible. Authors must retain research data for a reasonable period after publication.

Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that their work is original. Any use of others’ work or words must be properly cited.

Multiple or Concurrent Publication
Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously or publish substantially similar research in multiple journals.

Acknowledgment of Sources
All sources that influenced the research must be appropriately cited.

Authorship
Authorship should be limited to individuals who made significant contributions to the research. All co-authors must approve the final manuscript and agree to its submission.

Hazards and Ethical Approval
Authors must clearly identify any hazards related to chemicals, equipment, or procedures. Research involving humans or animals must include ethical committee approval details.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest and acknowledge all sources of funding.

Fundamental Errors
If authors discover significant errors in their published work, they must promptly notify the editor and cooperate in correcting or retracting the article.

Peer Review Policy
South Asian Academic Publications follows COPE ethical guidelines, ICMJE recommendations, and OASPA standards for peer review. Peer review ensures academic quality, accuracy, and relevance. The journal follows a double-blind peer-review process, and the standard review period is 7–8 weeks. Revised manuscripts may be re-reviewed before final acceptance. The final publication decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief.

Withdrawal Policy
Authors wishing to withdraw a manuscript must notify the Editor-in-Chief via email. No processing fees are charged if withdrawal occurs within 15 days of submission. After this period, applicable Article Processing Charges (APC) must be paid.

Retraction Policy
Corrections, clarifications, retractions, or republications are issued when necessary, in accordance with ICMJE guidelines. Factual errors are addressed promptly to maintain publication integrity.

Copyright Policy
© Author(s) retain copyright for open-access articles published by South Asian Academic Publications (SAAP Journals).

License Agreement
By submitting a manuscript, authors certify that:
• They are authorized by all co-authors to submit the manuscript.
• The manuscript is original, unpublished, not under consideration elsewhere, and does not infringe any third-party rights.
• The manuscript contains no unlawful or defamatory content.
• The information presented is accurate to the best of the authors’ knowledge.
• Upon acceptance, the article will be licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).
