Author's Guide
Submission of Manuscript
The authors should submit the manuscript through an electronic version (Microsoft Word document). Accepted papers will be acknowledged and processed further. Manuscripts will not be returned if rejected. If the author doesn’t receive the status of the article within 45 days from submission, kindly inquire by email.
Authors should submit their article in two documents:
- 1st Document: Title, list of authors, and corresponding author with email IDs.
- 2nd Document: Remaining article text or body.
Acceptance or rejection of the manuscript will be decided by the editorial team.
Online submission system must be preferred. If not possible, email the manuscript to the given email address.
Preparation of Manuscript
- Specify the article category (Research Article, Short Communication, Review Article, Case Report).
- Author/co-author must include email ID and full affiliation details (address, designation) on the title page.
- Keep manuscripts concise; total words should not exceed 6000.
- Page numbers at the lower right-hand corner, starting from the title page.
- Language must be simple and explicit.
- Author/co-author names or identification must not appear in manuscript body (for blind review).

Word Limit
- Research Article: 6000 words
- Short Communication: 3000 words
- Review Article: 5000 words

Originality
All articles must be original. Submission must be exclusive to BioNexus Bulletin and not published elsewhere. The first author must certify originality. Falsification will disqualify authors from future submissions.
Research Article Structure
Research Articles should include the following headings in one file:
- Title
- Name of Authors (FULL NAME in sequence)
- Affiliation details and Email ID of all authors
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Introduction
- Experimental Section / Materials and Methods
- Statistical Analysis
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgment (if applicable)
- Conflict of Interest
- References
Title Page
- Title in bold, title case (font size 14)
- Authors' names in uppercase (font size 12) with addresses
- Corresponding author marked with * and email at bottom left corner
- Short running title (≤50 characters)
- No personal identifiers in manuscript body (blind review)
Abstract
Up to 250 words, informative, self-explanatory, written in past tense. Avoid citations and abbreviations.
Keywords
Up to six relevant keywords.
Introduction
Introduce the topic concisely, state aims & objectives, and explain significance.
Experimental Section / Materials and Methods
Describe experiments clearly. Only new procedures in detail; cite previously published methods.
Statistical Analysis
Specify statistical tests, significance levels, and software used.
Results
Present results clearly and precisely, preferably in tables. Avoid repeating data in text and tables.
Discussion
Interpret findings, discuss significance and limitations, avoid repetition of Introduction/Results.
Conclusion
State concise conclusions, emphasizing strengths, weaknesses, and significance.
Acknowledgment(s)
Credit technical or scientific support. Mention funding sources.
Conflict of Interest
Authors must declare any conflicts of interest.
Tables
Number tables with Arabic numerals, titles in sentence case (font size 10), front notes in italics. Place tables near first mention in the manuscript.
Figures
Provide high-resolution JPEGs. Number sequentially, provide brief titles below figures, include permissions for previously published figures.
References
Number consecutively in order of citation [1]. Follow NLM/ICMJE guidelines. Examples:

Short Communication
Preliminary findings. Merge sections (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion) into running text. Max 5 pages, 3–4 illustrations.
Case Study
Include Title page, Abstract (non-structured), Keywords, Introduction, Case Report, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgment, References.
Review Articles
Comprehensive, up-to-date, ~18 pages. Abstract and Introduction required; Materials/Methods and Results/Discussion optional.
Author Contributions & Language
Specify author contributions after acknowledgment/conclusion. Manuscripts in clear, concise English. Use Oxford English spelling.
General Guidelines
- Use Calibri font, size 12 for content; Constantia size 14 for title.
- No word breaks at line ends, no underlining.
- Use TAB for indentation, not spaces.
- Right-hand margin unjustified.
- Submit editable Microsoft Word files, anonymized for double-blind review.

BioNexus Bulletin follows Open Access policies. Articles licensed under Creative Commons (CC) BY-NC 4.0. Readers may read, download, print, search, or share research for non-commercial purposes.
Rejection Appeals
Authors may appeal editorial decisions within 14 days via email: editorbionexusbulletin@gmail.com. Appeals reviewed by Editorial Board. If rejected, the original decision stands.
